Some software tools that I personally needed for various projects were either unavailable or very expensive. So I wrote them myself and published them for free use on Github.
DSGVO-Pixeler
This tool processes 4K videos locally and automatically pixelates vehicle license plates and faces using YOLOv8. Optimized for Apple Silicon (M-series) and action-cam footage, it prioritizes data protection by reliably anonymizing sensitive visual information while preserving video quality and audio.
Track2Text
Creates a draft route description from the newest GPX file in inbox/. The output is intentionally bullet-style and meant to be rewritten later (e.g. with ChatGPT). For more detailed metrics, prefer .fit files.
AudioSwitcher
Replace a video’s audio track with MP3s via ffmpeg, with optional auto‑combine and smart defaults.
HydrantLine
Small web app that shows hydrants on an interactive map (Leaflet). It also provides routing to a selected hydrant, navigation in external map apps, link sharing, and distance/area measurements. Data is loaded from a JSON file, markers are clustered, and loaded on demand.
